"New In Town"

We met in London, she lived in the suburbs. I was from downtown LA. new in the city, new in the country.

We were immature, young, yet wise. I knew what it was, did she?

She would wear a red leather jacket, her hair in a slick bun, big hoops, black gumboots, blue jeans. She fit in.

I wore a checkered blue shirt, dark blue trousers, black oxfords, glasses with a coat in my hand.

Following her, not knowing where I'm going. I went into the unknown, with her.
